Why, who’d
sing a parody better than a ragtag band of Vipperloids? Teto laments about the immense
grievances she experienced in our crooked world… somehow connected to several
myths surrounding the benefits of Vitamin C… Well, as if it matters! :) Solid and
powerful heavy metal is surprising though, you rarely encounter such a sound
even in more serious works nowadays… Perhaps that’s what makes a parody a good
parody!
Twins
attack! The two songs released by NexDart are far from being twin-like
identical but both are awesome in their own kind. ‘Frienemy’, sung by Rin, is a
jaunty nasty yet somehow enticing piece. ‘Wreath’, sung by Len, is quite a serious,
lyrical and deep thing. Why, a smart trick to please every crowd :)
NexDart has
made another take on his song ‘Coward’, this time employing V flower as vocalist
(initially it was Len). I think flower’s version has more character, so try it
out!
Hidaritsuu=cast-P
has released another awesome song! Two major changes are evident. First, the
producer ditched power metal in favor of HR/HM sound. Second, and more
important: the lyrics will NOT embarrass everyone (knowing Japanese) around if
you turn the song loud. Unexpected, huh? :)
While I can’t
grasp how exactly that ‘electric fire’ thing works from a physics point of view,
the amount of energy here is definitely impressive. Miss Tsurumaki Maki is a VOICEROID
and thus cannot compete with more advanced software in terms of quality.
Nevertheless, her bright vocals are quite enjoyable here.
While the mood of this hard rock song isn’t exclusively melancholic, there are some certain somber notes around. Anyway, the visuals of ink dissolving in water may just set the right atmosphere… at least if you like to watch dissolving ink ;)
A frenzied
vocal cover of a frenzied song! Tomato-san revs up the clean parts while
Datsuraku-san handles screaming (his job is obviously easier :). I must mention
Utsu-P pitched the chorus quite high for an average human to sing :)
A debut
work by SUISO laboratories. ‘Oxygen’ is a blissful hard/j-rock song featuring
vivid GUMI’s vocals as well as a bit over the top instrumentals :) Enjoy!
A perfection in simplicity: the latest song from ensou is built so solid you won’t find a single flaw. The sound is absolutely delicious! The bass drums. Deliver. Punch. BOOM! ;) Guitars are not so punchy (why would they?) but they put their weight rather well too :) Top this with GUMI’s edgy voice and you get some pretty killer song!
Another
latest release featuring Megurine Luka – Nihil by shatehouu. This EP got 4
tracks. The style is mostly post-hardcore with some metalcore sound here and
there. Fast tempo and quite intense music coupled with lyrics full of angst
(suddenly! :) Luka sounds quite good here. Check it out!
No, this track
seems to be unrelated to ‘Sleeping beauty’ made by 164 back in goode olde
2008 which was somewhat popular at the moment. The producer of today’s song,
lovin-san, labels his piece 'dark fantasy hard rock’. While I wholeheartedly agree
with ‘hard rock’ part, and maybe even with ‘fantasy’, I can’t feel any specific
‘darkness’ in it :) Anyway, the song has decent production compared with the
majority of Vocaloid hard rock works.
Satanistka
has made another cool, if short MMD metal video. This time it’s a cover of the
song ‘Numb’ by Linkin Park (btw I was shocked the band’s still active ;) The
cover (by Alex Terrible) employs a tad more brutal vocals; unfortunately, the
recording quality is subpar :(
Starring in
the video is a custom MMD model named (obviously just 4 lulz) Satan Kuzya 666.
So far for each new video Satanistka makes a new model; the concept of
recycling isn’t that popular here in Russia :) New version of Kuzya excels at
being the opposite of TDA’s Miku it’s derived from. New Kuzya is so burly and
beefy she can kick ass in quite a literal sense :)

Just look
at those spiky hair thingies! So kawaii!!! (^ᴗ^)
A stylish
nu metal piece with excellent mix and lovely Rin vocals by NexDart. For those
who prefer Len over Rin there’s version with him singing on Piapro.
A
combination of Teto and heavy metal turns out to be insanely cute. Mostly
because of Teto as you may wonder :) Still when I hear Teto singing the words ‘hallowed
be thy name’ I can’t help but grin widely :)
A beautiful
arrange from Emi Ele (lyrics by Clear). Heavy metal base with some prog
aspirations as well as definite J-flavour all over it. Despite Emi Ele isn’t completely
satisfied with Miku’s vocals, I find them pretty decent, clear, strong and,
well, charming. That high pitch is irresistible! :)
While the new
song from Vocaloid post-hardcore guru Okame-P may be slightly inferior to‘Reminiscence’
in the vocals field, it manages to beat the late Shichiya’s track in energy
content and definitely overwhelms it in terms of emo. It’s fucking emo Godzilla,
no less! Besides, since when have we started to care about the quality of
Vocaloid singing? ;)
Nice and
energetic emo piece by Shichiya-san. Miku’s vocals deserve special mention:
they show remarkable upgrade compared with previous producer’s works and sound
unbelievably good!
A beautiful
(as always) mellow post-hardcore arrange from Yokomin with beautiful (as always)
Yukari’s vocals. What’s new (at least for me) is Yokomin himself singing along
with Yukari too. Why, the guy has great voice :) I could even say Yukari and
Yokomin-san match together so well! (insert some sweet emoji here)
Last but
not the least, today’s Yokomin 22th birthday! VMW wishes the producer lots of
joy, even more energy and for all even wildest his dreams to come true! We
believe in you, man! :)
